At 3DBio Therapeutics (Print Bio) I designed and manufactured a line of biopolymer meshes that served as a temporary exoskeleton for a 3D-printed living tissue ear implant called the Overshell. The Overshell would provide structural support during living tissue maturation while undergoing bioresorption. Ultimately providing the patient with a new ear completely made from their own cells.
